For a sore Mouth.
Take half a pint of clear water, and boil in it a leaf of sage; when it has boiled ten minutes, set it to cool, then put to it four ounces of white wine vinegar, two ounces of honey, and fix drams of roch-allom set it on the fire to boil again, taking care to scum it half an hour, then set it to cool, and wash the mouth with it in the morning.
