To make artificial Asses Milk.

Take two ounces of sarsaparilla, six drams of thin shavings of ivory; two drams of saffafras cut thin, an ounce of antimony beaten to a powder, and tied up in a thin linen rag; put the whole into two quarts of spring water, which must be boiled till it is reduced one half, then strain off the liquor, and put to it two drams of bruised liquorice; take a gill of it three times a day mixed with a spoonful of warm milk.
