To prevent fainting Fits.
Take of orange flowers, and damask roses each a dram, compound piony-waters, and strong cinnamon, two drams each; mix with them a scruple of Gascoign's | | 170 powder, three drams of syrup of gilly flowers, and a drop of oil of cloves, put the whole ingredients into a bottle of two ounces of water wherein black cherries have been steeped, and let it stand a few days, then it will be ready for use, and a glass must be taken when you dread the return of the fit.
