To make fine balsamic Water.

Take four ounces of borax, a dram of musk, a scruple of ambergrease, three ounces of white dittany, with an ounce of each of the following articles, viz. aloes, aloes wood, ginger, cloves, myrrh, frankincense, gum-arabic, gum-ivy, oil of bays, and a pound of Venice turpentine; infuse the whole into four quarts of brandy, and beat them together in a morter, then squeeze the liquor out, and put it up in bottles for use. When rubbed on the skin it makes it look soft and agreeable.
