To prevent the Skin from peeling off the Hands.
Take four drams of pomatum, half an ounce of fine red wax, two drams of oil of roses, two drams of borax, | | 164 with four ounces of venison fever; hold them over a gentle fire till they begin to melt, then make them, up into an ointment, which. you must lay upon the hands when you go to bed, and in the morning let it be washed off with warm milk. Continue to do so three nights successively, and then the hand will appear white and beautiful.
