To make the Hair grow thick.

Take of southernwood, hazel, bark, rosemary, myrtle berries, and maiden hair, each two ounces, lay them on a red hearth, or in an oven till they are reduced to ashes; put the ashes into a quart of white wine, so as to work it into a strong lye; then let it to cool, and rub the hair with it as hard as you can.
